Homage exhibition dedicated to noted abstract artist Emilio Pettoruti (b. Argentina 1892-1971). "With his retrospective in 1948 in the Salon Peuser, the painter announced this was the last he was doing, without further explanations of why. The context in which the exhibition was held is well known now -his political opposition to peronismo and the loss of his position as Director of the Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes de La Plata- as well as the objections that his last production could be seen as a whole, "in particular in the dissonant voice of Jorge Romero Brest (...)
