This paper describes the product of the builders of single-family homes and the basic production process in the mid-1940s, the mid-1960s, and the mid-1980s; describes the apartment developer's product and production process and changes thereof; deals with residential renovation; provides insight into the labour component of the residential construction market; outlines some key aspects of land development; and summarizes the main conclusions.
