In 1944 US soldiers received a copy of this Pocket Book before entering Germany. It explained why they were fighting Germany, what the Germans thought about the United States and it provided an introduction into the history and geography of Germany. The information was designed to assist the US soldier in dealing with a brainwashed and morally bankrupt people. This guide gives a snapshot of life in Germany at the end of WW2.
