In the pre war years at least one -third of our people were undernourished, either because they chose food wrongly or because they did not have enough money to buy what they needed. Nutri tion scientists reported that to provide a ygood diet for all the people in the United States would require considerably more milk, leafy green and yellow vegetables, and tomatoes and citrus fruits.
