Exhibition Catalog in EnglishThis catalogue aims to portray Boznańska as the international artist that she really was. The texts it comprises highlight the cosmopolitan aspect of the circles in which she moved, and examine the successive stages of her life in the art centres of Krakow, Munich and Paris. An important supplement of direct relevance to the exhibition itself is the essay on Boznańska's artistic friendships. Another key element of the catalogue is its body of photographs illustrating Boznańska's life, and reproductions of all the works on display in the exhibition. Most of the reproductions are furnished with commentaries explaining their content, revealing the history of their creation, or containing biographic notes on the sitter in case of portraits.
