Organized to reflect the three major missions of the University of Rochester Medical Center, this book reviews the distinctive achievements in teaching, research and clinical service over the 75 years of the Medical Center's history. Individual chapters on undergraduate and graduate medical education, graduate education in the biomedical sciences, distinguished basic and clinical investigators, research achievements in basic and clinical science, the history of the Edward G. Miner Library, the School of Nursing, the Eastman Dental Center and Strong Memorial Hospital, and a chapter on future directions all are included. Jules Cohen, M.D. is Professor of Medicine [Cardiology] and Robert Joynt is Professor of Medicine [Neurology] at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
