Brian de Jongh's classic Companion Guide to mainland Greece which has since been combined in a new edition with his book on southern Greece. When first published they were greeted with acclaim and immediately established themselves as essential guides. Better suited to travellers, either actual or armchair, who are seeking in-depth information, these literary guides are perhaps not suited at all to travellers looking for up-to-the-minute facts.
