Two unconnected events make headlines in Rome one morning. A British businessman is kidnapped and a huge ransom demanded from the multinational company which employs him; and Franca Tantardini, vicious and beautiful, Italy's most wanted woman terrorist, is captured and her bodyguard gunned down.
