Loach won the Palme d'Or at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival for his film <i>The Wind That Shakes the Barley</i>. His film <i>The Angels' Share</i> won the Jury Prize at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. And in 2014 he was presented with the Honorary Golden Bear at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival.
