Author Description

Wilfred Thesiger is one of the greatest explorers of this century. He is also the author of "Arabian Sands", "The Marsh Arabs" and "The Life of My Choice". His achievement as a travel photographer is equally impressive. This book is a collection of those photographs which most satisfy Thesiger. Rarely seen images from his Asian travels, a mixture of familiar and unknown pictures of the Arab world in which he found himself most, and most memorably at home, and images of Africa where he has now lived for almost 25 years.
