
Parks Canada was established as a federal government agency in 1998 with a mandate to protect & present nationally significant examples of Canada's natural & cultural heritage, and to foster public understanding, appreciation, & enjoyment in ways that ensure the ecological & commemorative integrity of these places for present & future generations.
