A collection of stories trying hard to find a connection with one another. Because it's a dream we have, the protagonist is puzzled by whether or not his life correlates to his sleepy visions, and vice versa. It becomes unclear what stories are his dreams, and which ones he's actually lived. Maybe it's futile to separate them. One element is clear: the stories herein are tied by the mere fact one person, the same person, wrote them all. This much is certain. Microplots are present, as are specific motifs like art, Beckett and alcohol, but an overarching storyline is difficult to ascertain and locate. It wants to be a novel, but is it? It matters little.
