In this book, the author examines the whole question of belief and the difficulties of those who would describe themselves as "believers" or "ex- believers". The book is not a systematic exposition of the creed but Richard Holloway helps the reader wrestle with the mysteries of faith within the Christian creed: God, the Holy Spirit, the forgiveness of sin, the Church and the sacraments, judgement and the return of Christ. This book attempts to reveal the true meaning of the creed, and is aimed at those at different stages within the spectrum of belief.
