Author Description

This edited volume is part of a new series on operational expert systems worldwide. The United States volume is intended to serve two major purposes. The first is to provide the reader with short case studies of actual, major operational expert systems that are being used primarily in the US. The second goal is to provide a variety of applications that are being operationally used in a regular basis in the US. This volume coupled with the other edited volumes on Expert System Applications in Europe, the Far East, Canada and Mexico, will provide the reader with keen insights on how expert system applications are being used worldwide.
