Written for environmental professionals, this brief guide offers advice concerning selection, design, installation, operation, optimization, and the shutdown of air sparging systems. It applies the results from full-scale systems, field studies, and research to provide a life-cycle approach to air sparging design and implementation. Particular attention is given to site characterization and feasibility analysis, economic aspects, regulatory issues, system design and construction, long-term monitoring and site closure, and statement of work preparation.
