The Second International Conference on Remediation of Chlorinated and Recalcitrant Compounds (May 22-25, 2000; Monterey, California) focused on the more problematic substances--chlorinated solvents, pesticides/herbicides, PCBs/dioxins, MTBE, DNAPLs, and explosives residues--in all environmental media and on the physical, chemical, biological, thermal, and combined technologies that can be used to deal with these compounds.
