
AUTOPSY OF THE VIETNAM WAR: FROM THE CONTAINMENT DOCTRINE OF THE UNITED STATES WITH "NO-WIN” POLICY TO VIETNAM’S BLACK APRIL 1975:<br/><br/>I. CONTAINMENT EPICENTER<br/>The Policy of Containment took place in Vietnam as a four-act drama:<br/>[A] Opening with TT Truman & TT Eisenhower's initiatives,<br/>[B] determining the Containment holding position of Vietnam by President JK Kennedy & his Advisor Bundy,<br/>[C] profoundly transformed with President Lyndon Johnson,<br/>[D] to in turn lag and end in "honor" [30] with President Nixon and Secretary of State Kissinger.<br/>All four scenes are still just the "outer surface" of a persistent motivation: America’s supremacy and its capitalist interests, forming the heart or epicenter of the Policy of Containment.<br/><br/>II. WHO WERE THE LOSERS?<br/>With the strategic epicenter of the Policy of Containment, we see why the government and the army of the Republic of Vietnam are only allowed to "carry out" a defensive battle, desolate and sloppy, in a shaky war solution for a " no-win policy." Indeed,no one [including US generals] has the initiative to fight and win, especially when the so-called allied South Vietnam did not have ownership of the war (until the “Vietnamization” of the war at the very end of it), nor the choice of national survival by and after the 1973 Paris Peace Accords.<br/>South Vietnam people did appreciate the well-intended American politicians and idealistic young soldiers who came to their remote country to carry out and protect its budding democracy. Nevertheless, they still resent America’s "real politics" of deception by sacrificing South Vietnam’s sovereignty and survival to a short-sighted, ill-conceived economic joint venture that the USA hastily and wastefully consummated with China, under capitalist pressure.<br/>Yes, the Vietnam War ended "with honor” for the USA.
