Now more than ever, dermatologists and primary care physicians must be able to identify pigmented lesions and accurately determine if they are either benign, malignant or precursors to culaneous melanoma. This new atlas serves this important function. It features over 100 color illustrations - including clinical photographs and histologic views - of common and uncommon pigmented lesions. Concise clinical overviews of pathophysiology, diagnosis and management are provided for each condition. Emphasis is placed on early detection of malignant lesions, especially melanoma.
