Aiming to distil the essentials of liberal constitutionalism from the jurisprudence and practice of contemporary liberal-democratic states, this book demonstrates that the model liberal-democratic constitution is best understood as a unity of three constitutional frameworks: libertarian, egalitarian and communitarian.
