The Liard River, a major tributary of the Mackenzie River, loops northern British Columbia on its way from the Yukon to the Northwest Territories. This report assesses the long-term water quality trends monitored at the Liard River monitoring station in northern British Columbia. Recommendations regarding water quality monitoring are provided. The bulk of the document consists of graphs showing trends (mostly back to 1984) of such parameters as flow, alkalinity, aluminium, cadmium, calcium, chromium, colour, copper, hardness, iron, lead, manganese, non-filterable residue, water temperature, turbidity, and zinc.
