
This report presents data about visitors to B.C. and their trip characteristics. It determines visitor origins, travel patterns, expenditures, activities, and likes and dislikes. The document also identifies changes in visitor characteristics since 1979, and the significance of these changes for marketing and development strategies. Visitors were surveyed at major highway, airport and marine entry points by means of short screening interviews, the distribution of diaries, and follow-up in-depth interviews. This survey covers the 4 month July-October 1987 period.
