Comparisons of Urban Traffic and Traffic Management in the U.S. and China presents a study drawing upon an understanding of certain cultural and economic conditions. In considering the differences of the transportation system of both countries, the author uses a generally straightforward approach, integrating a particular vision of technology in human terms in an effort to create a thorough yet accessible resource. Population expansion and increase of national income stand among the factors the author believes influence traffic conditions. Looking at China's background, the author demonstrates, as an example, that efficient road utilization is the way to ease anticipated congestion.
