"Taking shallow breaths I raised the gun. My heart pounding in my ears. I pulled the trigger. A loud bang roared out. I looked over to Cryton and yelled at him, "RUN!" It has been seventy-five years since the EMP killed the grid. New societies have risen, with some more stable than others. In the Northern part of the former Republic of Minnesota, Maxine, her brother Thomas, and her boyfriend Cryton try to survive. One day when Maxine and Cryton go on a supply run, Thomas is kidnapped by a war tribe. Maxine and Cryton must venture out to the House Of Mercenaries to try and convince them to help save Thomas before it's to late. This was written in mind to combine YA Dystopian, and YA Post Apocalyptic Books. I've always found these genres interesting, so I thought it would be fun to write my own. This was partly inspired by The Hunger Games, and a show called Revolution. If you like either of those, then you must check this book out!
