Near-Life Experiences: The Pillow Writers Anthology is a literary journal by an international community of writers. These writers are living with the chronic complex illnesses myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) and long COVID. Most of the twenty-eight authors in this issue are unable to work, and many are housebound or bedridden. They represent the millions living with ME/CFS and long COVID who are our neighbors, family and former coworkers. This anthology is a rare opportunity to witness the poetry, fiction and essays from this invisible community of talented writers. They explore resilience and measuring life in a new way. Also in this issue are two essays by family members who describe their experience of living with someone with chronic illness. All proceeds from the sale of this book go directly to #MEAction, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advocacy and outreach for people living with ME/CFS and long COVID. We thank you for your support.
