There is that song that you haven't thought of since High School. The song that brings back the smell and taste of hopeless wonder about the vast enormity of uncertainty about the future. C.L. Bledsoe plays us that song in The Saviors. The protagonist of this novella has just graduated and is living through the how and why of that song. The band members of the Saviors are at that time in life where they can see that all adults are stupid and wrong. And the worst, scariest part about it is that they know that they could easily end up just like them. Fortunately, they have their music to save them. It's that simple, isn't it? I think we met each other at that concert? ---~ Yrik-Max Valentonis, author of this is visual poetry, iDEAL, and 120 Days of Gomorrah
