Pipelines have played and will continue to play an essential role in safe and reliable transportation of oil and gas from their production sites to the consumer market. Safety of pipelines has become public concerns in the worldwide range since it is strategically critical to the energy transportation, environmental conservation and the national economy. This book is to investigate the adverse effect of high-voltage alternating current (AC) transmission lines on corrosion and coating performance on buried pipelines, an important topic drawing global attention with the fact that there have been increasing corridors of power transmission lines and pipelines.
