
Product Description Dancing Naked is a compilation of Di Brandt's essays on her past as a Mennonite woman, on language and community, and on poetics. Lyrical, pointed, open, and embracing, Dancing Naked also tells the story of a life lived through the direct confrontation of fear and rigidity, through to a re-visioning of community and hope. Di Brandt's essays have appeared in a variety of books and magazines across the country. About the Author Di Brandt, author of mother, not mother, (shortlisted for the Pat Lowther Award), and Dancing Naked: Narrative Strategies for Writing Across Centuries, won the Manitoba Book of the Year Award for Agnes in the sky and the Gerald Lampert Award for questions i asked my mother, (also nominated for a Governor General's Award.) She currently teaches at the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario.
