Author Description

This book explores health communication in the age of new media, which ranges from people’s access to health information and knowledge to their effects on people’s cognitions, attitudes and behaviors related to health, diseases and personal well-being. This topic is not a new one. Yet, this book presents the topic from a different perspective––a Chinese one. This book analyzes these topics using a series of data collected in China over the past decade, and intends to add to our understanding of China’s health communication and how culture influences health communication.
