Product Description Sheepshead Bay is composed largely of prose poems. Although Sheepshead Bay is a real place in Brooklyn, and the author's birth place, these poems are not really "about" that time or place. Rather, they address a larger life that we merely intuit, but cannot grasp for long. If these poems can be said to have a subject, it is love, desire, happiness and loss. "…an exhilarating range of experience, packed with the stuff of life." - Charles North Born in Brooklyn and educated at Brooklyn College and Harvard, Ed Barrett has published four chapbooks of poetry, had produced an off-off-Broadway play, and has published several texts on new media with the MIT Press. He lives in Boston, and teaches experimental narrative fiction, and game design at MIT.
