The objective of the Phase I Audit was to assess how various components (laboratory activities excluded) within the APIOS programme are contributing to the production of "high quality" data. This involved determining the effects of these componentson data accuracy, precision, comparability, completeness and representativeness. As part of this objective, the strengths and weaknesses of the programme were identified and, where appropriate, recommendations made regarding changes to the existing programme.
