The second part is a history of Chinese aesthetics, with an emphasis on Chinese aesthetics studies and the leading figures in Chinese aesthetics history. This part examines the history of Chinese aesthetics and its results. The final section of the book approaches the theme in a comparative manner. It compares the aesthetics of China and the west, and interprets the significance of comparative aesthetics and the various possible paths from religious, cultural and philosophical angles. It presents readers with an overall comparison of the aesthetic theory systems of China and the west.
