Selected papers from the Symposium on Pavement Mechanics and Materials at the Inaugural International Conference of the Engineering Mechanics Institute, held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, May 18-21, 2008. Sponsored by the Pavements Committee of the Geo-Institute of ASCE and the Task Committee on Mechanics of Pavements, Granular Materials Committee, and Inelastic Committee of the Engineering Mechanics Institute of ASCE This Geotechnical Special Publication contains 16 papers addressing a variety of current issues in the testing and modeling of pavement materials and structures, 11 of which were presented at the conference.
