The photographs in this guide focus on predators in their natural habitat and on their behaviour. Although the emphasis is on lion, leopard and cheetah, the smaller predators such as the African wild cat and the small-spotted cat, are also featured. While the focus is on the cat family, hyena, wild dogs, foxes and civets are also included. The text has been updated for this edition, and now includes information of relevance to the whole of Africa.
