
This book describes how two young student activists became involved in the Bengali nationalism movement against the tyranny of Pakistan's military rulers, which grew into a liberation war. They worked and fought alongside each other and fell in love, which led to their marriage after they won the liberation war. The story is based on true events that happened during this period of history. Mou and Alam were student activists since the 1968 people's uprising against the dictatorial military rule of Pakistan's Presidents, as well as against the dominance and exploitation of the then East Pakistan by Pakistani rulers from West Pakistan. When Bangladesh's liberation war began on March 26, 1971, Mou and Alam traveled to India, and received guerrilla warfare training. In their home district, they formed their own boys' and girls' guerrilla forces called Bichsu Bahini (Scorpion Force - Guerrilla Freedom Fighting Force).
