In Pakistan maize (Zea mays L.) is the third important cereal crop after wheat and rice. Maize accounts for 4.8% of the total cropped area and 3.5% of the value of agricultural output. The grain and fodder yield is reduced by a number of diseases including plant parasitic nematodes. Nematode pathogenicity trials, organic and chemical control measures have been discussed in detail.
