Author Description

This book was written about and for the Dene Women of Hay River. It holds their experience, knowledge and lifelong learning. The information gathered in this book is useful for gaining a greater understanding of its positive implications for the Dene women living in the boreal forest community of Hay River. When working with aboriginal people, it is important to understand and respect the knowledge that is being shared as a gift. During the process of this research project, this protocol was always observed.
