A native Georgian, William Entrekin was born in Rome in 1946. Entrekin started drawing at an early age. He was introduced to artist Richard H. Sturges that proved to be a turning point in his life. The days spent in Sturges's studio, watching, listening, and painting by his side, constituted the only formal instruction Entrekin ever had. Since 1975, his work has been the subject of more than two dozen solo exhibitions.
