Three Australian practices are featured in this edition. Established in 2005, Simon Pendal Architect works on a range of projects and seeks to create memorable places that, besides being highly individual and tailored, respond deeply to their physical context. The Tasmanian duo of Taylor and Hinds was formed by Poppy Taylor and Mat Hinds in 2013 and offers liveable, functional, and memorable environments for people. Stuart Vokes and Aaron Peters started the Brisbane-based Vokes and Peters in 2015 as a conscious attempt to reassess cultural practices and contribute to a collective city-making project, with a special focus on reimagining classic ‘Queenslander’ houses.
