This report presents analysis and characterization of climate change's second-order impacts on three systems that are critical for human survival and security--water, food, and energy--in the U.S. Central Command's (CENTCOM's) area of responsibility. Recommendations for CENTCOM account for the role in which the U.S. Department of Defense can contribute expertise, tools, and resources to address the climate and conflict risk associated with these systems.
