cosmogony (n.) the branch of science that deals with the origins of the universe This is the story of a universe. My universe, to be exact. Written on-and-off for a period of two years, cosmogony documents snippets of the universe I have experienced. Inside this collection are poems I’ve written between the ages of twelve and fourteen. It contains four parts, each with lyrical, heartbreaking, romantic poems that tell stories, laugh, cry, and comfort. They vary considerably lengthwise and topic-wise, and are written in many different forms from blank-verse to villanelle, but string them together and you will find they all have something in common: they are a voice and a perspective, completely unfiltered, stripped raw. I hope you can connect to these poems the way I do, that you hold them close to your soul. I hope that you can see my universe through my own eyes, read my stories as your own, and through these words our worlds can be intertwined.
