This book is for students who are preparing for the individual rounds of the MATHCOUNTS State competition. It contains four practice exams for MATHCOUNTS State Sprint and Target rounds with new problems not used in any past competitions and with insightful solutions. The authors of the book, AlphaStar Math Development Team, is a group of expert students and alumni of AlphaStar Academy, an education company located in Santa Clara, California offering in-person and online courses for contest preparation in Math, Computer Science, and Physics such as MATHCOUNTS, the American Mathematics Competitions (AMC), the USA Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO), the USA Computing Olympiad (USACO), and F = ma. The authors participated and got excellent results in Math competitions and Olympiads. Richard Spence led the team and did the final editing. Dr. Spence is twice MATHCOUNTS Nationals qualifier, USAMO qualifier, AlphaStar alumnus and faculty, and MathCON competition editorial board member.
