
Traditional medicinal plants have therapeutic value worldwide due to its affordability, accessibility, and cultural importance. Crataeva religiosa is sweet, pungent, bitter, and astringent in nature. They use the leaves and the bark of the tree for medicinal purposes. The main objectives of the study is to detect the presence of preliminary phytochemicals present in Crateva religiosa, analyse antioxidant activity, synthesis and characterise silver nanoparticles and analyse anticancer activity. The aqueous flower extract of plants were prepared. The water is used as solvent for extraction process. The results suggest that this plant has vast variety of phytochemicals which can be used as effective remedy for various ailments and drug formulations in future either alone or in combination with other suitable agents.
