Plants have many phytochemicals and secondary metabolites which possess various bioactivities like antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-cancerous and anti-inflammatory properties. In this study, the aim was to characterize and compare the antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anticancer activities of leaf extracts of Cyanthillium cinereum, Chromolaena odorata and Annona squamosa. The phytochemical screening of plant extracts were performed. The result of antibacterial assay shows that Annona squamosa shows greater antibacterial activity. The anti-inflammatory activity test is performed by HRBC method. Cyanthillium cinereum shows greater activity against inflammation. Antioxidant activity is determined by DPPH assay the Cyanthillium cinereum shows greater antioxidant activity. The anticancer activities of samples were performed for the aqueous leaf extracts using SK-Mel-2 cell lines which showed a high degree of anticancer activity. Among the three plants Cyanthillium cinereum extracts possess a strong anticancer activity which can be used as a new promising drug and has a wide range of applications in pharmaceutical industry.
