The majority of people in the community with moderate to severe disability have neurological diseases. This book focuses on the use of standard measures in the management of people with disability arising from neurological conditions and will therefore be of interest to anyone involved with helping such individuals. It starts by outlining the World Health Organization model of impairment, disability, and handicap, and then discusses some general principles underlying the use of measures. Specific areas such as the assessment of mobility are also discussed.
