The comprehensive, two-volume monograph represents a retrospective which, for the first time, presents the groups of works from the end of the 1990s alongside the most recent works, relating them to one another.Golz, who gained international recognition most recently following her participation in documenta X, is a sculptor, but also works using the mediums of drawing and photography.Using humour, irony and subtlety, Golz questions the perception and formation of inner and outer reality. She translates her often scientific-analytical-intellectual approach into sculptural and graphic offerings and confronts the observer with surreal-seeming experimental arrangements, with which she addresses questions of possible life plans, projections and self-image.English and German text.
