The runup to this Spring's federal and provincial budgets finds financial markets increasingly concerned about Canada's seemingly chronic rising government and foreign debts. This anxiety was front and center in a meeting of prominent private sector economists convened by the C.D. Howe Institute on January 27, 1993. This document presents the proceedings of the workshop on Canada's fiscal outlook.
