Conducted by the Bank Administration Institute, this survey, based on questionnaires returned by 683 financial institutions, provides banks under $6 billion in assets with information on the total compensation practices for key executive positions. The concept of total compensation recognizes the existence and value of a variety of compensation elements in addition to base salary (i.e., incentive and bonus awards, perquisites, capital accumulation plans, etc.). The survey report provides information on the compensation practices of senior executive positions broken out by asset size, geographic region, and for the most senior positions, type of bank (i.e., multibank holding company member or non-member).
