Almost thirty years have passed since high school, yet Lee Burke thinks there might still be a way to heal a broken heart. From California to Florida and back again, Lee carries his memories of his high school girlfriend, Linda, in his heart for all those years. Torn apart as teenagers by a mother's desire to unite Lee with the father he never knew, Lee loses Linda in the process. He sets out to find her. Their reunion will be a simple dip into the past, a gathering of thoughts and times. However, that's not what happened. Everyone dreams of a night in their life that explodes with emotion and passion unlimited, and such was the night for Lee and Linda. What he finds out later, though, is that broken hearts don't heal-they shatter. The demons of life come out in full force to play, and Lee finds himself on a tumultuous downhill rollercoaster. After finally seeking help, he runs into a psychiatrist who helps him to see the real story behind Linda and her family and sends him on a different emotional journey.
