
This book includes all papers (essays, vignettes, comments, replies, responses) posted on INHN’s website in 2013 with the exception of those posted in the website’s electronic archives. The International Network for the History of Neuropsychopharmacology (INHN) was founded in mid-2012 with the primary goal to develop educational material relevant to the historical developments of the field. In the subsequent year, on May 23, 2013, the Network launched its website and began posting material submitted by Network members for discussion. Corresponding with the website the material in this book is presented under 11 headings: 1. Historical dictionary of neuropsychopharmacology;.2. Historical drug Inventory of psychotropic drugs; 3. Photo history of neuropsychopharmacology; 4. Profiles of distinguished neuropsychopharmacologists; 5. Controversies in the history of neuropsychoparmacology; 6. Textbook on the history of neuropsychopharmacology;7. Discoveries in neuropsychopharmacology that have not been followed-up or could not be replicated; 8. Information on books in neropsychopharmacology- classic and current; 9. Biographies, autobiographies and selected writings of neuropsychopharmacologists; 10. Historical perspective in neuropsychopharmacology: information from and comments on current publications in neuropsychopharmacology; 11. Electronic EBOOKS in neuropsychopharmacology. We hope that the organization of the material under each heading in a conventional alphabetical and chronological order, will render renders the vignettes, essays, chapters and reviews more readily accessible for educational and other purposes. Additionally, each contribution can now be properly referenced as part of the historical record of the field of neuropsychopharmacology.
