On a Minnesota bluff overlooking the serene Mississippi River valley and Lake Pepin's placid waters, Leaner Institute's fenced-in compound offered a sanctuary of security and peace for its workers. Until... one idyllic June afternoon, when something was unleashed inside the perimeter. Then people started to disappear. Within an hour, the compound felt more like an apocalyptic internment camp. Tammara and Richard must rally the few survivors to find a means of stopping it, before it can escape to unleash devastation across the rest of the country. But to kill it, they had to first understand what it was.
